Happy Tremendous Tuesday!
What a great day! We loved coming to school as our favourite book or movie character!

House Games: We started the morning with a house game. Each house was given a story title and they needed to act out that given title! We saw and heard some interesting stories!

Gym: Please see Ms. V’s blog at https://msvphysed.blogspot.com

Math: Today students were introduced to our next math unit addition and subtraction to 100. Today students learned how to model a number using place value mats. We used ten frame sticks to help us represent the number in the tens column and single snap cubes to represent the number in the ones column. Then children chose a two-digit number and represented it using these cubes and ten-sticks in multiple ways. Next, children had to match place value mats to the equivalent representation.

Inquiry into Language: Today we read chapter 27, 28 and 29 of our novel study ‘Charlie and The Chocolate Factory’. Then students answered comprehension questions about what we read. We also made predictions of how we think the story will end. We are really excited to see what happens tomorrow.
French: Please see Mlle. Jessica’s blog at http://mllehousja.blogspot.com

Agenda:
·  Read 15 minutes
·  Spelling test Friday
·  Spelling sentences due Friday
·  Wacky Wednesday tomorrow
·  Science Centre Trip Thursday- please bring a disposable lunch and wear dress uniform
·  Math test signed

Unit of Inquiry:  Today we had our last day to complete our inventions. If students had finished I gave them the choice of either helping a friend or practicing what they are going to say for their presentation. They were reminded that they would need to tell the class the following…
·The materials they used
·How they built it
·How it works
·How it will improve their life or the lives of others

Have a wonderful evening,

Love, Miss Gandy
