We had so much FUN in our PJ’S today!

Inquiry into Language: Today students learned their new words of the week. Students then used their spelling words to complete various tasks within their spelling workout book.

TMA Vs. SJA Oral Competition: Today we had students from the Maples Academy visiting the school to participate in our interschool oral competition. Congratulations to all students who participated today! Your hard work has truly paid off.

Unit of Inquiry: Today we continued working on our summative projects! The final products are quickly approaching and they look wonderful. I can't wait to hear all about how they work and how they could help improve our lives. We will be starting presentations on Wednesday! I want to give students one extra day to finish putting everything together.

What is Action?

Many people think that action is easy to define. It is something you do right? But action is much more than that. Action is a part of who we are. If we want to change the world we need to start with changing ourselves. But sometimes change is hard. How do we make changes to the way we think so we can help the world? If we want children to make a difference in the world we need to help them personalize the action they take, and understand that it is not just a mandate from their teachers and parents, but a life long mindset they develop. Taking action can happen at any age. Support children and youth as they begin the learning journey towards becoming adults that are change agents! I’d love to hear about the action your child takes part in at home and in the greater community. Please send me a quick email or agenda note to let me know so we can celebrate together.
