Happy Magnificent Monday!
I hope everyone had a lovely weekend and enjoyed the sunshine and warm weather.
Cursive: Today we spent part of the morning practicing our cursive writing in our cursive books.

Inquiry into Language: Today students reviewed their spelling words. Then students used their spelling words to complete various tasks within the spelling workout books.

Then students were given a paper bag full of different words. They were asked to pick a word out of the bag and write a detailed sentence using as much detail as possible (nouns, adjectives and verbs). They were also encouraged to use the 5 W’s to help them add detail as well.
Gym: Please see Ms. V’s blog at https://msvphysed.blogspot.com

Math: Today students reviewed 3-D shapes and their properties (faces, edges, and vertices). We also looked at skeletons of different shapes and students had to identify what shape it was and how they knew. Then students needed to use different clues to identify a shape. Next, I gave students a variety of shapes and they needed to share with the class the name and properties of their given shape.
French: Please see Mlle. Jessica’s blog at http://mllehousja.blogspot.com

Unit of Inquiry:  Today students learned about accidental inventions. We discussed that some of the greatest inventions that we use everyday such as the microwave, post it notes and Play-Doh were invented by mistake. These inventors did not plan on creating that specific invention but rather stumbled upon it through a mistake. We watched an interesting video that shared that top 10 accidental inventions!

Have a wonderful evening,

Love, Miss Gandy
