International Mother Language Day:
Happy Fantastic Friday!
Today we started the morning with a jump rope for heart assembly. We learned all about this organization, recognizing signs of a heart attack or a stroke and how we can help by raising money. Envelopes have been sent home inside agendas this week and are not due until March

Inquiry into Language: Today students wrote their weekly spelling test. Please sign and return these on Monday.

Gym: Please see Ms. V’s blog at https://msvphysed.blogspot.com

Math: Today students reviewed the properties of different 3-D shapes. Students were given shapes and had to use them to determine the name and properties of the shape (vertices, edges and faces). Then together as a class we went over each shape. A review package has been sent home today for our upcoming test. Please note that for the test they will be allowed to use actual 3-D shapes to help.
We also read out different clues and students were required to match the correct shape with the appropriate clue.

Music:  Please see Mrs. McMillian’s blog at https://mrsmcmillanmusic.blogspot.com

Unit of Inquiry: Today we continued to learn about Alexander Graham Bell and the invention of the telephone. A student brought in a book all about different inventions and decided to read the chapter on the telephone to the class! Thank you Finley. Next students worked through a biography package all about Alexander Graham Bell and watched a video on the first ever telephone.
Have a wonderful weekend,

Love, Miss Gandy
