Happy Tremendous Thursday!
A kind reminder that tomorrow is sibling picture days, if you want your child to take a photo with their sibling please fill in the form and return to teacher!

We also celebrated a very special birthday today! Happy Birthday Sahana, we loved celebrating with you today
Story Connection: Today students learned about our new learner profile of the month ‘open-minded’. We discussed with our tables the meaning of being open minded. Then we read a story called 'Dear Dragon' and we discussed how the characters were showing that they were open-minded. After we worked through a brainstorming page about how we can be open minded in school, home, and the community.

Gym: Please see Ms. V’s blog at https://msvphysed.blogspot.com

Math: Today students continued to learn about 3-D shapes and skeletons. Children named the solids represented by each skeleton model and explained their thinking. Then students practiced identifying the names, faces, edges and vertices of different shapes. I have sent this home in their agendas to keep practicing and reviewing the properties of these 3-D Shapes.

Inquiry into Language: Today we read chapters 18,19 and 20 of our novel study ‘Charlie and The Chocolate Factory’. Students then answered comprehension questions based on what they read.

French: Please see Mlle. Jessica’s blog at http://mllehousja.blogspot.com

Unit of Inquiry: Today we learned about the inventor Alexander Graham Bell and the invention of the telephone. We watched a video about his invention and facts about his life. Then we examined past and present telephones and discussed the differences and similarities of the phone over the years. Next students answered a few questions about Alexander Graham Bell.

Have a wonderful evening,
