This morning in assembly our open-minded winners were given their awards! Congratulations to our winners Ishaan and Grayson

Inquiry into Language: Today we read Chapter 26 of our novel study ‘Charlie and The Chocolate Factory’. Then students answered comprehension questions about what they heard. We also used this time to catch up on any questions we have missed throughout the chapters.

Math: Today students reviewed 3-D shape names and their given properties (vertices, edges and faces). We went over the math review and answered any questions we were uncertain about before our test tomorrow.

Unit of Inquiry: Today we started working on our summative projects! We used the materials we brought in from home to start building our inventions. I am very impressed with all of these different ideas and can’t wait to see them completed! Some very useful ideas that I could use in my own life :)

What is Action?

Many people think that action is easy to define. It is something you do right? But action is much more than that. Action is a part of who we are. If we want to change the world we need to start with changing ourselves. But sometimes change is hard. How do we make changes to the way we think so we can help the world? If we want children to make a difference in the world we need to help them personalize the action they take, and understand that it is not just a mandate from their teachers and parents, but a life long mindset they develop. Taking action can happen at any age. Support children and youth as they begin the learning journey towards becoming adults that are change agents! I’d love to hear about the action your child takes part in at home and in the greater community. Please send me a quick email or agenda note to let me know so we can celebrate together.
