Happy Tremendous Tuesday!

Happy Superhero Tuesday! We had a wonderful day showing off our superhero and princess costumes.

We started the morning with another house game…. a pancake eating contest to celebrate Pancake Tuesday! Way to go Kappa for eating the pancakes the quickest.

Math:Today students learned how to read addition word problems and find the sums using a place value mat

Inquiry into Language:Today we read chapters 15,16 and 17 of our novel study and answered comprehension questions about the chapters.

Unit of Inquiry:Today students continued working on building their summative inventions! Children who finished had the option to create an advertisement poster that they can use while they present on Friday.

What is Action?

Many people think that action is easy to define. It is something you do right? But action is much more than that. Action is a part of who we are. If we want to change the world we need to start with changing ourselves. But sometimes change is hard. How do we make changes to the way we think so we can help the world? If we want children to make a difference in the world we need to help them personalize the action they take, and understand that it is not just a mandate from their teachers and parents, but a life long mindset they develop. Taking action can happen at any age. Support children and youth as they begin the learning journey towards becoming adults that are change agents! I’d love to hear about the action your child takes part in at home and in the greater community. Please send me a quick email or agenda note to let me know so we can celebrate together.
