Happy Wonderful Wednesday!
Story Connection:  Today we read one of my favourite books called ‘The Gruffalo’ by Julia Donaldson. Students listened and retold the story in sequence using pictures. Then students went over the description of the Gruffalo told by the mouse and had to use their own descriptive words to describe the other characters in the book.

Gym: Please see Ms. V’s blog at https://msvphysed.blogspot.com

Math:  Today students wrote their addition and subtraction test. These will be marked and sent home shortly. Unfortunately, I am unable to give the tests back until every student has written the test. I have about 5 students still to write the test so will send the test back as soon as possible.
Inquiry into Language: Today students wrote a journal entry about if they had a superpower what would they do for a day! Together as a class we brainstormed different powers that we would like to have. I heard some great ideas such as teleportation, invisibility, laser eyes, flying and super strength. We also brainstormed what we would do with the powers. Then students’ independently wrote out their journal using the correct components such as…
1. Date/ Title
2. Opening sentence
3. Sentence starters
4. Closing sentence
5. Detailed sentences
French: Please see Mlle. Jessica’s blog at http://mllehousja.blogspot.com

Agenda:
1. Read 15 minutes
2. Work on book retell
3. Bring back re-registration package
4. Spelling test Friday
5. Selling sentences due Friday

Unit of Inquiry: Today students continued working on their own version of a grocery store. They used the template to create and organize a list of different meat, drinks, fruits and vegetables. The students drew and coloured a few pictures to add to their list.

Have a wonderful evening,

Love, Miss Gandy
