** A note about the homework package sent home today. I have sent home a math package and the annual book retell package inside agendas today. The math package is optional if children have time and want to work on something over the holidays. The book retell is required to be completed upon return when students come back from break, as the completion will be fast approaching. Any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
Inquiry into Language: Today students worked through a Christmas package where they were asked to sort Christmas words in alphabetical order, sort nouns and verbs and see how many words they could spell with the letters in 'Merry Christmas'.
Gym: Please see Ms. V’s blog at https://msvphysed.blogspot.com
Math: Today we reviewed double digit subtraction and addition on together as class. We did a few examples on the board. Then, students worked on completing word problems. The identified what questions were one step or two step questions. We looked for key words that would help us determine whether we needed to add or subtract. Then students had to find sums and sort the sums in their appropriate column such as less than 17, equal to 17 or more than 17.
