The SJA Parent Guild is pleased to hold its 2nd Christmas Skate for all students and parents/guardians to celebrate the festive season and enjoy some time together. Any proceeds will go towards ongoing fundraising efforts. This event will take place on Thursday, December 12 from 3:30-5:30 pm at Meadowvale 4-Rinks. Ice time from 4:00-5:00 pm. Bring your own skates or skate rental option is also available. There will be hot chocolate and treats for students and Santa will be ready for selfies! Forms will be distributed Thursday. Forms and payment are due by Monday, December 2nd to the homeroom teacher. Please return forms and payment as soon as possible! We will be accepting non-perishable food donations for the Food Bank so please feel free to bring items in. See you there! Happy Fantastic Friday!

Today we were at the Dome for the day practicing for our Christmas performance! We were able to complete our spelling test and work through a subtraction and addition math package.

What is Action?

Many people think that action is easy to define. It is something you do right? But action is much more than that. Action is a part of who we are. If we want to change the world we need to start with changing ourselves. But sometimes change is hard. How do we make changes to the way we think so we can help the world? If we want children to make a difference in the world we need to help them personalize the action they take, and understand that it is not just a mandate from their teachers and parents, but a life long mindset they develop. Taking action can happen at any age. Support children and youth as they begin the learning journey towards becoming adults that are change agents! I’d love to hear about the action your child takes part in at home and in the greater community. Please send me a quick email or agenda note to let me know so we can celebrate together.
