Happy Tremendous Tuesday!
Today we found Sparkles hanging from our prize box! We think she was trying to see what new prizes Ms. Gandy put inside there!
Math: Today we went over the strategies to help us with double- digit addition with carrying. We did some questions together as class on the board. Next, students were asked to add dimes to find money amounts up to 99 cents. Then, students added groups of 10 to one- and two-digit numbers.
Gym: No Gym today
French: No French today
Inquiry into Language: Together as a class we reviewed the components of a journal. We went over that a journal must include a date, title, opening sentence, sentence starters and a closing sentence. We wrote a journal about how to build a snowman using the correct elements of journal writing
Christmas concert rehearsal: Today we practiced our performance in the gym. We went over spacing, walking on and off stage and the actions.

Unit of Inquiry: Today students organized their own shelves in a fridge. We discussed the importance of organizing our fridge and what could happen if it isn’t organized. Children got different flyers from the grocery store and were asked to cut out different foods, sauces, drinks etc., and organize the items in their fridge.
Have a wonderful evening and stay warm!
Love, Miss Gandy
