Happy Wonderful Wednesday!
Inquiry into Language: Today students read the last two chapters of our novel study and answered comprehension questions about what they had read. We went over who the main characters were, the problem in the story and how Jack and Annie resolved the problem. Together as a class we thought about what this story made us think about in own lives and related it to our unit of inquiry. Tomorrow students will be writing a journal about their favourite part of the book and why?
Math: Today we had our last review day before our test tomorrow. We went over the math review and areas that we were having the most trouble with. We quickly reviewed the reading and recording the temperature on a thermometer. Students were then given different amounts and had to determine what coins they would use to get that amount. They also had to figure our how to get a certain amount by using an exact number of coins.
Music: Please see Mrs. McMillian’s blog https://mrsmcmillanmusic.blogspot.com
Christmas Concert practice: Today we continued practicing our Christmas concert song and actions in the classroom! Please see my email about the outfits for the concert
Agenda:
- Read 15 minutes
- Memorize Christmas Concert song and actions
- Spelling test Friday
- Spelling sentences due Friday
- Math test tomorrow
Unit of Inquiry: Students had their last opportunity to finish their summative projects. If they had finished their boards or books they were given the opportunity to practice their presentation with a buddy. Tomorrow I will give students 15 minutes to practice their presentation before we begin presenting.
Have a wonderful evening,
Love, Miss Gandy
