Assembly: Today we had our science fair awards! Congratulations to everyone who placed and won a medal in the higher grades. Even though we did not win I am very proud of all my students and their hard work!
Math: Today we reviewed the components of a clock. We went over analogue and digital time and shared examples with the class. Then we went over the adding 15-minute intervals. Students were given a scenario where a train comes every 15 minutes. The first train comes at 9:00 am and they needed to show the times of the 6 other trains. Lastly, they finished with independently recording the digital time on different analogue clocks.
Inquiry into Language: Today students read Chapter 8 of our novel study ‘Dinosaurs Before Dark’ and answered comprehension questions about what they had read.
Christmas Concert practice: Today we practiced our Christmas concert routine with Mr. Oliver! We went over spacing, lines and expressions. We also worked on singing in pitch and the difference between singing loud and yelling! Please practice the song and actions at home.
