Operation Christmas Child – This year some classes from SJA are participating in Operation Christmas Child. We are one of those class and I am hoping for your help. We will be filling two boxes – one for a boy aged 5-9 and one for a girl aged 5-9. All donations must be brought in by Monday, November 18th in order to be able to send them off for shipping. A letter will be sent home with more information and a list of 100 shoebox items. I will be covering the costs for shipping. I thank you in advance

Happy Science Fair Friday!
Thank you so much for everyone who came to visit our science fair today! The children were so excited to share our experiment with friends and family!
Today we also won the GOLDEN BROOM for the tidiest cubbies! We were so happy to receive the broom this morning in assembly!!!
Math: Today we reviewed the names and worth of different coins. We practiced adding coins and recording the total. We also reviewed recording and telling quarter to, quarter past and half past on the clock. We also reviewed how to show different amounts of money using a various coins. Students had to show a given amount 2 different ways and show an amount using the least amount of coins. For example: show 78 cents using the least amount of coins.
Inquiry into Language: Today students completed their weekly spelling test. Please sign and return them on Monday.
Agenda:
Read 15 minutes
Memorize Christmas Concert
Spelling test signed and returned
Math test Thursday
Math review due Wednesday
Cursive 3 pages
Unit of Inquiry: Students were given another opportunity to work on their dinosaur projects! We will continue working on these throughout next week as this week has been cut short with science fair preparation.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Love, Miss Gandy
