Inquiry into Language: Today students learned their words of the week and used their spelling words to complete various tasks within their spelling workout book.
Gym: Please see Ms. V’s blog at https://msvphysed.blogspot.com

Math: Today children learned how to add different coins to reach a specific total. Together as a class we determined what 6 coins we could use that would reach the total of 90 cents. For example: 25, 25, 10, 10, 10, and 10. Then students had 6 coins that equal 75 cents and they needed to figure out what those coins could be. Students were then given coins and had to work in their partners to count the total of coins. Please continue to work at home skip counting in 25’s, 10’s and 5’s!
Music: Please see Mrs. McMillan’s blog at https://mrsmcmillanmusic.blogspot.com

Unit of Inquiry: Today students created a writing story of “If I was a dinosaur I would be a _______ osaurus”. They had to think of the different features they would have if they were a dinosaur (long tail, shield, spikes, feathers, horn etc.,). Then students needed to brainstorm what food they would want to eat (omnivore, carnivore, herbivore) and what they would like to do. Today we started our rough copy!
Thank you to my teacher helper Jacqueline, you are always such a great help!

Have a wonderful evening,

Love,

Miss Gandy
