Happy Rainy Thursday:)
Daily 5: This morning students worked on their comprehension skills. We read the ‘More Pies’ by Robert Much. Before we began children made a prediction of what they thought was going to happen based on the title and pictures on the front. Every few pages we stopped and retold the events that were happening. After we thought about what they story made us think of… we were very hungry after the book!

Gym: Please see Ms. V’s blog at https://msvphysed.blogspot.com

Math: Today students were given a handful of beans, they had to estimate the total amount and put them into groups of ten. Then they counted the group of tens and leftovers to find the total. Students also took a handful of beans and estimated the number. Then, they placed the beans on the ten frames and counted to check their estimate

Language: Today we reviewed the components of a list. Students wrote a list about the things we would need to bring if we went to the beach! We included a date, title, bullets or numbers and our ideas!

French: Please see Mlle. Jessica’s blog at http://mllehousja.blogspot.com

Agenda:
·       Read 15 minutes
·       Spelling test tomorrow
·       Spelling sentences due tomorrow
·       Bring in resources if needed for summative project
·       Casual day from and money

Unit of Inquiry: Today we had our final day to work on our summative projects! I have told the children that I do not mind some support from parents at home. If parents want to help children brainstorm ideas or guide them when writing the rules that is fine! Continue to work on this at home because we will be presenting when I return on October 15th

Thank you to my teacher helper for the day, Sahib R.

Have a wonderful evening,
Love,

Miss Gandy
