Our Fall Fundraiser is quickly approaching! What used to be our Spring Fundraiser is now our Fall Fundraiser and we need your help. This year, all funds raised will go towards our Art Productions, physical activity equipment and more Chromebooks. There will be a variety of exciting events and amazing prizes for students to win through their participation. These include sitting in the teacher chair for a day and decorating Mr. Oliver’s face with makeup!! The class who brings in the most money will win a pizza and movie party.

Daily Activities – Each activity costs $2.00!!

Monday, September 23^rd is PJ Day.

Tuesday, September 24^th is Popcorn Day.

Wednesday, September 25^th is Ice Cream Sandwich Day.

Thursday, September 26^th is Wacky Thursday.

Friday, September 27^th is Casual Day and Dance Party (JK-Grade 2) and Electronics Day and Casual Day (Grade 3-6).

Site is now open and will close Wednesday, September 25th at 3:00 PM

Special of the month: 3 pancakes with vanilla cream with an option of syrup for $5.00 OR 1 pancake with vanilla cream with an option of syrup for $2.50 on Fridays.

Our action star wall is filling up fast! It makes me so happy to see everyone completing their responsibilities on a daily basis!

Inquiry into Language: Today we reviewed nouns and verbs. Students had to identify the nouns and verbs in the sentences on the board. Then students sorted different words into the appropriate column as either a noun or a verb.

Math: Today we had our last review before our math test tomorrow. We reviewed patterns, attributes, pattern cores and using words, numbers and letters to describe a pattern. We also practiced sorting objects into a Venn diagram and making patterns using a specific amount of numbers.

Unit of Inquiry:Today we finished our responsibility flowers! These will help us remember everything we are responsible for. Please come and have a look at them as I will be hanging them outside the classroom for everyone to see.

What is Action?

Many people think that action is easy to define. It is something you do right? But action is much more than that. Action is a part of who we are. If we want to change the world we need to start with changing ourselves. But sometimes change is hard. How do we make changes to the way we think so we can help the world? If we want children to make a difference in the world we need to help them personalize the action they take, and understand that it is not just a mandate from their teachers and parents, but a life long mindset they develop. Taking action can happen at any age. Support children and youth as they begin the learning journey towards becoming adults that are change agents! I’d love to hear about the action your child takes part in at home and in the greater community. Please send me a quick email or agenda note to let me know so we can celebrate together.
