Donate to People who are Homeless
We are doing a project called Exhibition where we choose a topic we are interested in and want to research more about in order to make a positive difference in our world. We chose the topic of homelessness because we do not want anyone to be without their basic needs. Every person has the right to have a home and food to eat and clothing to wear. We are collecting donations so that we can donate them to Angela’s Place, a homeless shelter right here in Mississauga.
You can donate:
- Non perishable food
- Clothing (for all ages such as Pants, shirts, hats ,shoes and more)
- Toiletries (mouthwash, feminine products, toothpaste, toothbrush, and deodorant)
- Seasonal clothing
- Baby formula
- Diapers
- Baby products
Wine and Cheese Event: This will be a great time to socialize and hear about what direction SJA will be heading!
Arts Night lyrics have been placed inside the children’s agenda. Please continue to practice at home!
Happy Tremendous Tuesday!
French: We started the day with Mlle. Jessica. Please see her blog at http://mllehousja.blogspot.com
Math:Today in math students had to measure and order the widths of wall spaces in the classroom to determine which one will best fit a poster. Then we reviewed how to use a centimetre ruler to measure the width and height of different beetles.
Music:Next we had a music lesson with Mrs. Mcmillan. Please see her blog at https://mrsmcmillanmusic.blogspot.com
Inquiry into Language:Today students learned about the learner profile of the month ‘balanced’. We read a book called ‘The Little Pea’ and brainstormed what it means to be balanced and examples of how we are balanced in our own lives. For example, we eat a good balance of healthy and unhealthy food.
