Spelling Bee packages and lists were sent home. Please use the list to study for the in-class competition. The Grade 1 in-class Spelling Bee will take place on Thursday, April 4th.
Arts Night lyrics have been placed inside the children agenda. Please continue to practice at home!

Today was ice cream day! We really enjoyed our ice cream sandwiches. Today we got to pie 2 teachers in the face. Thank goodness it was not me again! It was….. Mrs. Padovan and Mrs.Hocevar!

Math:Today students reviewed solving addition and subtraction word problems using place value mats. We checked our work using the column method. Our test has been moved to Tuesday in order to review in class.
Library:Today we visited the library. Ms. Hayward read us a story and we had the chance to view books of our choice!
Inquiry into Language: Today students learned the parts of a letter (date, greeting, body, closing and signature). We reviewed Letter Larry who will help us remember the outline and order of a letter! Today we also had a practice spelling bee, where we practiced the correct format when spelling the word. Tomorrow we will be joining all grade 1 classes for the in class spelling bee competition. The top 6 students overall will be chosen to move forward. Good luck everyone!

Unit of Inquiry:Today students learned more about mosaic art and finished their mosaic art pieces.
