Inquiry into Language with UOI Focus:Today students wrote their spelling test!
After they were finished we talk about the invention of the light bulb. We discussed the inventor Thomas Edison and how he tried many times and different ways to create a light bulb. After we brainstormed ideas about how our world would be different if we didn’t have the light bulb. We thought about how we would take everyday things for granted such as reading, writing, driving, going to the mall etc. We then wrote a rough copy journal entry of our idea
Then we wrote our good copies. We went over the requirements that are needed for a hood journal entry such as punctuation, sentence starters, title, date and introduction sentence. I was very impressed with this journal piece
