A note from our Librarian, Ms. Hayward:

Happy Wednesday!
A BIG Happy Birthday goes out to our friend Kai! We loved celebrating your special day.

French: We started the day with Mlle Jessica. Please see her blog at http://mllehousja.blogspot.com

Math:Today in math children reviewed time. I started off by telling them a story which stated different times. As the story went on the children were asked to show me the times they heard on the clock, remembering that the big hand means the minutes and little hand means the hour.

Next we reviewed money, we played Dollar Dice! Children had to roll a dice and whatever they landed on was worth a specific amount. They had to keep adding their totals up and the first person that reached $1.00 won. The children really enjoyed this game and were challenged by adding multiple numbers together.

Gym: Please see Ms.Yustin’s blog at https://sjaayustin.blogspot.com

Inquiry into Language: Today we focused on detailed sentences and reviewed our 4 W’s. First I gave them a sentence chain that said ‘the dog barked’ and then I asked them to add a chain to my sentence to add more detail. At the end my sentence was 7 chains long! Children had a go at making their own sentence chains while including lots of detail!

After as a class we wrote about a snowy day using as much detail as possible!

Agenda:

When we were finished we peer assessed our partner by giving them one thing we loved about their presentation and one thing can practice for tomorrow! The final products look amazing and I cant wait hear and learn all about the different dinosaurs!
