Day 31
Happy Friday!
Again here are just a few reminders to keep in mind!
- Hot lunch orders for the month of November are due by October 26th
- ROM trip October 26th- please bring a packed disposable lunch
- Now that the cold weather is coming please ensure children are dressed with the appropriate clothing and have outdoor shoes.
Math:Today we used number patterns to solve different problems. Children had to work out if they could reach a number counting in either 5’s or 10’s starting at a specific number. For example: Can you reach 72, if you count in your 10’s starting at 15.
We worked in our workbooks and then children worked on questions on our whiteboards together. Some children lead the learning by teaching us how they worked out the problems on the whiteboard.
Reading Buddies: Next we had our reading buddies who came to read us a story and ask us questions.
Unit of Inquiry: Today students learnt what a fossil is and how they were formed. All the grade one classes got together to watch a Bill Nye video about fossils. After we had a discussion about what they learnt about fossils and what we can find out about certain animals from their fossils.
Agenda:
