Oakwood Academy is holding a Poinsettia fundraiser for the holiday season, to raise money for some new sensory items. The Poinsettias are red, pink or white and make a wonderful holiday gift, and are a nice way to spread holiday cheer. Order forms were sent home today. The class that sells the most Poinsettias will win a $50 gift card!! Order between November 1stand November 30th by cash only.

Math:Today in math children reviewed time and money. First we were partnered up and had to add the different amounts of money and share the total with our partner. Then we reviewed quarter to, quarter past and half past. We did some examples as a class and then worked through different questions!

Inquiry into Language:Children completed their weekly spelling test! Please sign the test and return on Monday.
After we did our spelling test we went to visit the Grade 3 classes. They had a showcase of their summative projects displaying different tools and techniques on how to clean polluted water. My class was very impressed with all their hard work!
Unit of Inquiry:For the remaining of the day we presented some of our summative projects! We had so many questions and things we loved about the presentations that we only got through 2 today. We will finish the rest on Monday!
Today my teacher helper was Omar! Thank you for always being such a great help!
