The class that sells the most Poinsettias will win a $50 gift card!! Order between November 1st and November 30th by cash only.

Happy Monday!  I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend

French: We started the day with Mlle Jessica. Please see her blog at http://mllehousja.blogspot.com

Music: Next we had a music lesson with Mr. Flower. Please see his blog at http://flowermusicsja.blogspot.com

Math:Today in math children learnt all about the thermometer. First we had a discussion as a class using think, pair and share to express our ideas about what we think a thermometer is and what it could be used for. There were some really good ideas; we came to learn that a thermometer tells us the temperature of something. We practiced reading a thermometer, I placed it in a glass of room temperature water and we all got to look and read the temperature of the water.
After that children placed a thermometer in cold and warm water and recorded the different temperatures.
Next we reviewed money, going over the worth of different coins and tried to match them on the different cards. Some of us even started adding the coins together.
Gym: Please see Ms.Yustin’s blog at https://sjaayustin.blogspot.com

Inquiry into Language: Today children wrote their weekly spelling words. After they finished writing out their words they worked in their spelling workout books.

Agenda:

Unit of Inquiry:Today students learnt how to sort words alphabetically. They were given a range of dinosaur name cards and had to sort the names of the dinosaurs in alphabetical order. Once they were finished they were able to write a descriptive sentence and picture of their favourite dinosaur.

Today my teacher helper was Kai! Thank you for always being a great help!

Have a wonderful evening and don’t forgot its World Kindness day tomorrow. Bring in $2 for causal wear.
