Happy Wonderful Wednesday!
Story Connection: Today students listened to ‘The Gruffalo’s Child’ and put the story in sequence by ordering pictures from the book. This activity will help children learn to retell stories in order and include important information from the beginning, middle and end. Next students had to use the information from the book to write sentences about different pictures from the book.

Gym: Please see Ms. V’s blog at https://msvphysed.blogspot.com

Math: Today students looked at the classroom and counted/tallied different items. They explained how using tally marks helps, especially when counting a larger quantity. Students also created tallied the amount of different fish in a tank, created a bar graph for their results and interpreted the information they recorded.
Inquiry into Language: Today we wrote a journal about what animal we would like to be for a day. Children then needed to brainstorm what they would do as that animal for the day. Students needed to include the components of journal writing such a date, title, opening sentence, sentence starters and closing sentences. They were reminded to use detailed sentences!
