Happy Fantastic Friday!
It’s report card day! Please find your child’s report cards inside their agenda bags. Please sign and return the last page of the report card. I am so proud of everyone for all their hard work this term!
Math: Today students reviewed the steps involved in double-digit addition with carrying. We did a few examples on the board together as a class. Next students completed 2-digit problems with carrying package! I found this method helped children identifying what number to place in the ones column and what number to carry over to the tens column.
Gym: No Gym today
French: No French today
Inquiry into Language: Today we had our weekly spelling test! Please sign and return them on Monday!
We also practiced our inference skills today, children listened to a song and had to reflect about what they heard, what they thought about and what they wonder about after listening to the song. Then students listened to it from the perspective of the character in the song. What do they think she heard, thought about or wondered about when singing.
Decorating Christmas Tree- Today we started decorating the Christmas tree in the main office. We did not complete fully because we needed more decorations so we will continue Monday! I won’t share too many pictures, as I want to save them for our Christmas Concert performance night.
Agenda:
Read 15 minutes
Memorize Christmas Concert song and actions
Spelling test signed
Two pages of cursive
Sign and return last page of report
Unit of Inquiry: Today students continued the movie ‘The Good Dinosaur’. We only have 15 minutes left!
It was a very busy week with report cards and Christmas concert rehearsals! I apologize for my lack of looking at reading logs and sentences! I will be catching up on everything!
Have a wonderful weekend,
Love, Miss Gandy
