Inquiry into Language: Today during our language time we had our fall fundraiser assembly where Ms. Cass was the lucky winner that got her hair done by a student! You looked great Ms. Cass. After we had a house game where students and teachers got to play musical chairs! THETA WON!!!!!
Math: Today children were introduced to number sentences. Before we began our lesson we went over the + symbol and – symbol and their meaning. Then we worked as a class answering different number sentence questions in our workbooks. For example: there were 5 frogs swimming in the pool, 2 decided to jump out. Children recognized that the frogs were leaving so we needed to take away. The question would become 5-2= 3. After we completed our workbook students had a chance to make a number sentence of their own and practiced representing numbers in ten frames.

Unit of Inquiry: Today we got to share our special someone photo. The children got up in front of the class and shared the name of their special someone and why they are special to them. Before we began we went over our presentation skills such as loud voice, eye contact, being respectful, listening and standing straight and still. It was so nice to hear all about the special people in our lives.

Thank you to Riaan, my teacher helper for the day
