Presentations:We had the last few art summative presentations!

Math:Today were introduced to different 2-D shapes such as square, triangle, circle, octagon, pentagon, hexagon and rectangle. We went over the difference between 3-D shapes and 2- D shapes and the meaning of sides and vertices. Children had to look around the classroom for objects that resembled different shapes from their workout book.
Inquiry into Language:Today we started our next novel study ‘Afternoon on the Amazon’. Children completed a section in their novel study package identifying the title, author and illustrator. The book was passed around for students to view the cover and make predictions about what the story was about! Once we finished, we began reading Chapter 1.
