Happy Wonderful Wednesday!

I hope everyone had a lovely snow day yesterday! It sure was a lot of snow, Miss Gandy spent the majority of the day trying to get her car out of her driveway

French:We started the morning with French. Please see Mlle. Jessica’s blog at http://mllehousja.blogspot.com

Music: Next we had a music lesson with Mrs. Mcmillan. Please see her blog at https://mrsmcmillanmusic.blogspot.com

Math:Today in math children reviewed tallies and learned how to conduct a survey. We reviewed that in order to conduct the survey we need to think of a question and choices. We brainstormed some ideas of questions we wanted to ask our friends. We thought of ‘What is your favourite ice cream?’ ‘What is your favourite place?’ and ‘What is your favourite colour?’ etc. Then children went around to ask their friends. After they were finished they needed to interpret the data they collected by answering a few questions.

Gym: Please see Ms.Yustin’s blog at https://sjaayustin.blogspot.com

Inquiry into Language:Today students worked on their book retell. A friendly reminder that children are presenting in front of the Grade 1 classes this coming Monday. Agenda:
Book retell Presentation Feb 4thin class- memorize and use expression

Unit of Inquiry: Today we were introduced to our new unit of inquiry topic- Inventions. Together we brainstormed what we thought the term inventions meant. I was very impressed with the ideas and examples that were shared. After, we brainstormed and listed some inventions that help make our life easier!

Have a wonderful evening, Please continue to work on the book retell with your child. Reminder it needs to be 3-5 minutes.
