A note from our Librarian, Ms. Hayward:

Happy Wednesday!

Joy has finally arrived in our classroom, and she left us a note. We read the book she left Miss Gandy that told us all about her magic!

French: We started the day with Mlle Jessica. Please see her blog at http://mllehousja.blogspot.com

Unit of Inquiry: To finish our dinosaur unit all of the grade one students watched ‘The Good Dinosaur’. We first started by talking about what we had learned about dinosaurs during this term. During the movie we would identify the different dinosaurs and look for things that were similar to what we learned.

Math:Today we reviewed time again! A math review package was sent home in the agendas today. Please do not complete the whole package tonight, it is not due till Monday. The test for this unit is on Tuesday!
Gym: Please see Ms.Yustin’s blog at https://sjaayustin.blogspot.com

Agenda:
Christmas clothes by December 1st
Read 15 minutes
Spelling sentences due Friday (children are asked to stretch their sentences and make them more detailed)
Spelling test Friday
Trip form and money
Math test Tuesday
Math review due Monday

Inquiry into Language: Today students filled in the last page of their report card. They had to think about one thing they learned, want to improve on and had fun doing this term. Report cards and assessment graphs will be sent home on Friday!
Before we went home, we started to introduce journal writing. We went over different sentence starters that we need to use to re-tell an event in a journal. I was impressed with the many different sentence starters that were shared during discussion.
Thank you to Sianna my teacher helper, you are always being such a great help!

Have a wonderful evening,
Miss Gandy J
