A note from our Librarian, Ms. Hayward:
Happy rainy Monday!
Math:This week we will be reviewing our unit on time, temperature and money for our upcoming test. This morning, I gave the children a glass of cold and warm water to take the temperature. We reviewed how to read a thermometer and the different components that make up a thermometer.
After, I gave the children a sheet with empty thermometers and they needed to independently show the temperature that were written on the board.
Music: Next we had a music lesson with Mr. Flower. Please see his blog at http://flowermusicsja.blogspot.com
Agenda:
Christmas clothes by December 1st
Read 15 minutes
Spelling sentences due Friday (children are asked to stretch their sentences and make them more detailed)
Spelling test Friday
Trip form and money
Cursive 2 pages
Inquiry into Language:Children learned our weekly spelling words and worked in the spelling workout books.
Unit of Inquiry:For the remaining of the day we presented our last few presentations. After they were finished, I got students to reflect on their learning and understanding of the information they presented. They thought about how they were inquirers, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and curious!
Thank you to my teacher helper; you are always being such a great help!
Have a wonderful evening,
Miss Gandy J
