Math:Today we finished our math review. We worked on ten frames, skip counting, fining a pattern in a 100 chart, doubles and number sentences. As a class we worked through the word problems by underlining important words that will help us tell us how to figure out the answer. At the end of the lesson I had children counting in their 2’s, 3’s, 5’s and 10’s. Please have children review over the weekend in preparation for the test on Monday.
Reflection with Academic focus: Today we wrote our weekly spelling test. Please have them signed and returned on Monday. Once we finished students wrote in their journal about one thing they are excited for about our field trip tomorrow. Then they had to come up with one question that they might want to ask about Dinosaurs tomorrow.
Inquiry into Language: Students wrote their OWA post assessment about recess rules using list writing. They remembered that list writing includes a date, title, numbers or points and our ideas.

Unit of Inquiry: Today we moved to the last time period, the Cretaceous period. First we read a book about what this time period was like. We looked at the similarities and differences between the three time periods. After we discussed the Cretaceous time period we created our timeline and plotted the dinosaurs that roamed during this period on the timeline!
Thank you to my teacher helper was Zane , you were such a good help!
Have a wonderful evening; I am really looking forward to our day tomorrow learning all about dinosaurs.
